Hong Kong Star Yuen Siu-cheung Brings His Charity Comedy Tour to Toronto

At noon today, the press conference for the Toronto stop of Yuen Siu-cheung’s charity comedy tour, Laughter Across Canada, was held at First Markham Place.

Presented by Dream Entertainment Group, the concerts will be held at 7 p.m. on November 6 and 7, 2026, at Auric King Fine Chinese Restaurant (5000 Highway 7, Unit 2006L, Markham).

Yuen Siu-cheung attended in person to meet the media and share moments from this charity tour.

Yuen Siu-cheung has been a fixture of the entertainment industry for many years and became a household name through TVB’s Super Trio series; his acting skill and comic style have endeared him to Chinese audiences at home and abroad.

The tour’s mission is “Laughter Spreads Love”, bringing laughter to cities across Canada while raising funds for local charities.

The beneficiary of the Toronto stop is the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation — Yee Hong is a non-profit charity that has provided long-term care and community services to seniors across the Greater Toronto Area for many years and is widely respected in the community.

At the November 6 dinner, the organizers will present a $7,000 cheque to the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation, accepted on its behalf by Stephen Siu, President of the foundation, and Cathy Zhou, Associate Director of Development, in support of its seniors’ care services.

The event has drawn strong support from all levels of government and community leaders. A number of elected officials have confirmed they will attend the November 6 dinner, including Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti; Michael Ma, Member of Parliament for Markham–Unionville; Richmond Hill Deputy Mayor Godwin Chan; Markham Regional Councillor Amanda Collucci; Markham councillors Ritch Lau and Isa Lee; Richmond Hill councillors Simon Cui and Michael Shiu; and Bill Wong, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Toronto. Mayor Frank Scarpitti will also take the stage to sing the classic song “Shanghai Bund” with Yuen Siu-cheung, sure to be a highlight of the evening.

Both evenings offer a full program: the November 6 dinner is built around a “Best Dressed of the ’70s and ’80s” contest, encouraging guests to turn out in retro looks and compete for the best-dressed title; the November 7 evening presents “Super Trio: Cheung’s Date in Toronto”, recreating the atmosphere of the classic game show. Along with a string of hit songs, Yuen Siu-cheung will perform his signature stand-up comedy. The emcees and guest performers for the two nights include Du Tinghao, Sha Feibao, Huang Anxin and Liu Jianmin, and several visiting councillors will also sing in support. Dinner guests can enter a lucky draw with their tickets, with more than 100 prizes over the two nights worth more than $30,000 in total, and everyone has a chance to win.
